A Search Engine Rankings Case Study Report

Down below I’ve posted two position reports for The Affinity Trading Group. To guard the privacy of my customers, I erased the key-phrases in which they position for. However, I do maintain the # of queries as that reflects the competition level and over-all search worth. Even though many individuals focus on positioning for high volume terms, me included, you need to remember that lower volume keywords / phrases are equally of the same quality because they do make up a nicely defined precise market versus the more generalized greater volume terms and this greatly targeted traffic happens to be the person that’s particularly interested in what you have to make available. To that note, as always, my intent is to rank effectively for all of the desired keyphrases as I do continue to focus with those biggies ;-)

The first document is an image screen grab of the report I ran towards the end of August. Realize that my Search engine optimization service with them started at the conclusion of July which means this August analysis represents approximately one month of Search engine optimization work. In July they ranked for merely a small selection of phrases with those search phrases ranking over 50 (1 being the very first place on page 1 and 50 being the last area on page 5). So as you will find, inside of 4 weeks, I was able to advance 14 words and phrases in to the best 20 rankings with 5 of them getting top 10. I don’t include search values with this analysis however I will say that their per month query volumes ranged from 1,500 to 22,000.

Once I commence a new project, I will not waste time seeking to position large worth words. I first chase the lower level keywords for several reasons. 1) They’ll progress speedier subsequently letting you notice some traffic without delay and 2) The effort that is placed into strengthening these lower volume keywords and phrases will trickle down and ultimately help the other higher size keywords. Proper Seo is a lot like constructing a home. You need to construct a powerful foundation with lower level keywords, create your walls with the mid level keywords so that you can have a sturdy framework to carry and maintain your larger volume keywords (the roof).

Now let us bounce forwards a few months into the ending of this month (November). After downloading the below rankings analysis, you can see that a good amount of progress has been produced. Aside from having more phrases enter into the best 100 position, I was capable to boost the top twenty number to 36 key words (previously fourteen) and the top 10 to twenty three key words (formerly 5). I was furthermore able to rank very well for a couple high quantity key phrases with one having a competitive 450,000 month to month search volume search phrase sitting nicely within the #11 position.

The 10 to 20 ranking location is usually a tough spot to get out of as it could from time to time require months for large size keywords and phrases to move from say a #15 to #9 or #10, nonetheless I continue to see excellent success with these keywords and in due time, they will likely get there. Just as with any other thing, the closer you reach the top, the less space there exists.

Also, it is at this juncture when Affinity encounters that their traffic ratio has leaned to the side of search engine traffic which means that +33% of their traffic is coming from search engines (for the most part Google) whilst the other 2/3 is coming by direct connections and website links.
