It’s disturbing to think that our food could be making us sick, and contributing to higher rates of cancer and sickness in the US than other countries. It’s even more disturbing to learn that other countries may have eliminated many of these harmful genetically modified proteins and hormone growth agents, which are allowed in the US in order to increase profitability in food production.

If it has a shelf life of more than a couple of months, it’s probably not that good for your body! Honestly, do you want to eat something that doesn’t expire until 2015 anyway? Spread the word about this disturbing news, and help a friend make healthier choices. As the saying goes, you are what you eat!

Hopefully things change and the FDA gets a better grip on things. Fortunately the USA has more stringent food policies than most other countries.

Surfing legend Kelly Slater won his 11th world championship yesterday.

The Surfing icon has not only been absolutely ripping up the water up at a high level for 20+ years but he has been a true ambassador for SPORTS. It’s simply amazing in this day and age to see one of the most successful sports figures in the world and he is not being shadowed by any controversy. Good things happen to good people and you can just tell that when all the cameras are off and no ones watching Mr. Slater is a good guy.

I had the privilege to meet Kelly at a party once in Fort Lauderdale Florida many years ago and he was not only the easiest guy to talk to there, he was the only one there without a beer in his hand. (I can’t wait to tell my kids one day that I got to shake King Ke11y’s hand.)
