When you are bogged down by a creative slump, you find yourself lifeless and uninspired. What you do not know is that you can always find ways to freshen up your blog or your novel and write great ideas. All you need to do is to follow these tips to help squeeze out creative juices.
Move out from your routine. If you are used to driving home using the usual route, take another one even if it takes a longer time to get home. This will freshen your mind and expose it to newer experiences which helps perk up creativity.
Or you can do it the classic way. Get a piece of paper and write down everything that comes into your mind. You will then piece it together to make a story out of it and there you have it. You will be amazed at how your brain works out in times of stress.
While you are reading magazines and newspapers, right down the conflicts involved in their stories and what other people think of it. You can use those conflicts to your stories or to your blogs as ways to perk people’s interests.
Find a problem that you have solved and write other solutions to the problem including those that you find impossible to do or those you find that would generate another set of problems. This will turn out to be a good way to flesh out a character or a story.
Jot down all the thoughts that go inside your head the entire day and make a list out of it. Take out all those that you have used before and pick ones that you find interesting or you can focus on those that you do not understand or have little understanding of and dig deeper on the issue.
Inspiration happens when you accept it. Get out of where you are right now and enjoy nature. Expose yourself to things and people that inspire you. If you like to be outdoors, be inspired by the trees around you or the fresh air you are breathing.
